San Jose, CA, November 15, 2005- Catalyst Enterprises,
Inc., a leading manufacturer of advanced
design verification and test tools for Serial Attached SCSI (SAS),
Advanced Serial ATA (SATA), PCI
Express™, USB 2.0, Wireless USB, and other high performance I/O
technologies, today announced a
major expansion to its SpekChek™ PCI Express compliance test
package. This new addition provides a
comprehensive, automated test suite for PCI Express root complex
devices and complements the existing
SpekChek test suite for endpoint devices. This new compliance test
suite will appeal to PCI Express
system, board, and silicon manufacturers across various market
segments. Catalyst will employ the root
complex test suite at the upcoming PCI Compliance Workshop, to be
help in Milpitas, California the week
of December 5th.

Providing the Industry’s Most Comprehensive Compliance Solution
With this new addition to SpekChek, Catalyst now delivers over
600 individual test cases for confirming
endpoint and root complex compliance to the PCI Express
specification. SpekChek’s endpoint suite,
introduced in 2004, provides more than 400 tests, while the root
complex test suite initially provides about
220 tests. Each test case is derived directly from compliance
requirements documents provided by the PCI
Special Interest Group (SIG). As tests are executed, capture files
are maintained for review and debug
purposes. A comprehensive pass/fail report is automatically
generated at the end of the automated testing
process. Users may optionally add custom tests or modify individual
test cases as desired.
Availability
SpekChek is a software add-on to the widely-deployed SPX Series
of PCI Express Analyzers and
Exercisers. SpekChek, including the endpoint and root complex test
suites, is available now. Existing
SpekChek customers may upgrade to the root complex test suite at no
cost.
