USB 2.0 host emulation mode allows developers to systematically test enumeration and device configuration sequence
Santa Clara, CA, February 18, 2008—Catalyst Enterprises, Inc., a leading manufacturer of advanced design verification and test tools for Serial Attached SCSI (SAS), Advanced Serial ATA (SATA), PCI Express™, USB 2.0, Wireless USB, and other high performance I/O technologies, today announced availability of a USB exerciser option for the top selling Conquest™ Series analyzer.
"The Conquest exerciser can emulate USB 2.0 host controller traffic including the full device enumeration sequence." said Mike Micheletti, Product Manager at Catalyst Enterprises. "This allows developers to systematically step through device configuration while capturing the actual responses from the USB device under test."
The Conquest exerciser provides a graphical user interface and drop-down menus for customizing USB host traffic and timing. Test sequences can also be created by replaying packets captured with the analyzer. Fully-integrated with the Conquest Advanced analyzer platform, the exerciser option provides sophisticated test capabilities for device developers with limited budgets.
Availability
