Protocol Tool to Contribute to Industry Development of New Wireless Products

San Jose, CA, June 12, 2006- Catalyst Enterprises, Inc., a leading provider of advanced design
verification and test tools for Serial Attached SCSI (SAS), Serial ATA (SATA), PCI Express™, USB 2.0,
Fibre Channel, and other high performance I/O technologies, today announced the upcoming release of
the AirCom Series UWB Analyst™, a Wireless USB/Ultra-Wideband protocol analyzer/exerciser
development solution based on Certified Wireless USB. The AirCom Series is designed to assist
developers in the design, debug, and characterization of silicon, devices, and software.

Catalyst’s AirCom Series Delivers both Analysis and Stimulus Capabilities

The AirCom Series provides capture, trigger, filter, and display capabilities for Wireless USB/UWB frames,
packets, transactions, transfers, payloads, and events. This compact, highly portable system is controlled
by a separate PC connection via USB 2.0 or Ethernet (LAN). Visibility is provided for WiMedia-capable
UWB radio traffic and Certified Wireless USB protocol, including various post-capture analysis and filter
tools to enable fast drill-down and captured traffic. An integrated traffic generation option provides an
ability to generate traffic patterns.

Availability

The AirCom Series UWB Analyst is scheduled for release in July 2006. Initial deliveries will include an
optional traffic generation feature.

Certified Wireless USB Developers Developers Conference

Catalyst will be demonstrating the UWB Analyst at the Certified Wireless USB Developers Conference,
running June 20th – 22nd in San Jose, Calif.
